     Welcome to Ka Waihona o ka Na'auao Public Charter School. We are looking forward to beginning School Year 2008-2009. it will be our seventh year of operation, and providing your children with an academic cultural and social education second to none on the Wai'anae Coast.

    The Ka Waihona o ka Na'auao faculty, staff and administration believe that education is truly the one gift that transcends time and place.  We feel that a properly structured academic curriculum, cultural exposure and high expectations for appropriate social behavior are important elements to producing a good citizen. Our intention at Ka Waihona is to produce academically competent students combined with superior citizenship skills and values.
     To accomplish this goal, we have recruited an excellent faculty and staff that works dilgently to provide the very best educational environment possible on the Wai'anae Coast. The faculty has embraced the idea that they as teachers can make a difference in your child's life and consequently work very hard to structure a nurturing and safe learning environment.
     Again, let me welcome all of you to Ka Waihona o ka Na'auao Public Charter School. I truly believe that together we can make a difference in our Wai'anae Coast Community.
