Family Involvement

Ka Waihona o ka Na`auao is a charter school that relies on family involvement.  Without family involvement, we are unable to sustain the quality education as stated in our school goals, mission, vision and purpose.  Refer to the the compact located at the front of this handbook for details.

Family Participation

Family Participation is absolutely essential at Ka Waihona o ka Na`auao.  We rely on family participation during special school events or activities.  When you participate in school events, your child will feel important and worthy.  Families at Ka Waihona accept involvement as a priority and responsibility for the education of the children.

Periodically throughout the year, parent workshops are  scheduled.  These workshops are intended to involve parents directly in their child’s educational experience and development. If you are unable to attend, a representative from your family is encouraged to attend.
